summer skin...

This past weekend we went down to Waco to hang out with Marilyn's family. The boys went fishing with Willie and caught 45 fish! The gals & Byll partied on the VIP boat. It was a fun time had by all!

We are definitely in the dog days of summer..

He has the good life...

I picked up a sixer the other day of the Armadillo Ale's Greenbelt Farmhouse Ale. It was pretty good. I am not a huge hefeweizen fan so it wasn't my favorite, but it was refreshing on a summer evening.

My cousin Kyle and his girlfriend Dora made the trek with my Aunt & Uncle, Kim & David, down from Pennsylvania last week. I haven't seen Kyle since our wedding in the summer of 2010 so I was really excited to see him! We hung out Friday night with them and my other cousin Scott and his wife Trish. We went to eat at Funky Baja and then out to Bronson Rock for some live music.

This one is pretty dark.. but that is Kyle on the right and Scott on the left.

Let there be...

Light! I bought this lamp at a thrift store here in Denton because I liked it shape! It was really dirty and needed to be cleaned up. After it was clean I painted the porcelain part coral for the guest room. I really like the finished product!

DIME..

For the month of August Infinite Blue Bird has been the featured artist at the DIME ( Denton Independent Maker's Exchange) Store! This cute shop supports all local handmade artist! We were thrilled to be apart of the store when it opened this past spring and are trilled to be the featured artist for the month!

Brewskies...

Saturday we headed to Dallas for Michaels 27th birthday bash. We checked into the hotel then trekked over to the Community Brewery for the afternoon! We played bag toss while we were there too... The Hasserd's came to play!

In true Caitie fashion, she brought mini bundt cakes for everyone to enjoy! So cute. 

After that we taxied over to Chicken Scratch for dinner and live music!

It was a fun night had by all! This summer is shaping up to be really fun filled!!

Last night we had our second wine night. Caitie hosted and made chicken cordon bleu. I made bruschetta from fresh tomatoes in my garden and Gram's pink lemonade pie. Marilyn made a yummy southwest salad! I am really glad we have started back up wine night. I enjoy getting to see everyone more frequently!
